Finally got my C&R Yugo from the store today. I don’t think this thing has ever been cleaned.Did that SKS Rifle Stocks Bullpup stock ever go anywhere? Does anyone have one? I have an SKS Rifle Stocks that I would like to make a little more interesting.

EDIT:

Aimpoint Compm2

The Aimpoint Compm2, also known as the M68/CCO (when used by U.S. forces), is the standard sight for the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, and the armed forces of many NATO countries.

Designed for extreme conditions – submersible to 25 meters

The Aimpoint Compm2 is ready for use around the clock due to its compatibility with all generations of night vision devices (NVD)

When the Aimpoint Scopes Compm2 was released, it became the benchmark against which all other combat optics are measured. While primarily utilized by armed forces, the CompM2 is also available to hunters and sport shooters who want a professional-grade sight.

Holds up under the roughest physical handling and can withstand the most severe weather conditions and temperatures

Completely submersible and will withstand pressures up to 2.5 atmospheres allowing it to be taken up to 80 feet (25 meters) under water.

I took a concealed weapons class several weeks ago and every one in the class love them. The only Bad part was I didn’t want to wear ear plugs while they tried them out. Everyone that I have showed them too has loved them so far. I worked a store promotion this weekend and gave them your information if they wanted to carry them in the store. Hopefully you will be hearing protection from them. Rich Staff of Hunter’s Specialties (Note: For the sake of full disclosure, Rich’s company also works with a distributor who carry’s Pro Ears but hopefully that is not the only reason he liked the product!) Thanks & expect more orders from Mudgee Australia Bruce Browne Fast Repairs – One more time Wanted to say thank you for the outstanding level of customer service you provide for your product. Having been totally satisfied with my Dimension 1 Stalker ear muffs, they developed a problem after a few years of use. After calling your customer service dept, I was given instructions on how to send them in for repair. They were sent to you on Thursday and I received the repaired muffs the following Tuesday……thats great service! Thanks again. R Martinez Boulder, CO. DaDuckKillas I thought I would share a photo recently taken of our group of hunters. We were at Chincoteague Island, VA, in mid January Sea Duck hunting. As the picture shows, your product is our groups hearing protection protection preference. We all laughed that we should send this to Pro-Ears, as there is like $1000 worth of product here. I myself own 2 pairs, one for my wife and one for myself. If you feel like you’d like to say “thanks for supporting us”, let me know. We’ll always take free stuff. J Keep making a great product.

There are recently imported Yugo’s out there for around $279. Knowing how cheap they used to be I balk at the price but I’ve never heard anything bad about them.

ETA: Just found VG Yugo 59/66s at Samco for $259 and Excellent for $299. SOG may have some on their site, I don’t have time to look right now.

I’ve had 3 different SKS’s. A type 56 Norinco, a 59/66 Yugo, and a type 45 Russian (Tula). The only one worth anything was the Russian. I sold the other 2 and kept the “52 Tula. Russian SKS’s are in the $450 – $600 range here in SW Florida. At the last fun show, July ????, a guy had a ’54 Tula for $450 that was pretty nice.
My Russian goes bang every time. It’s reliable and accurate. Save your money and get a Russian. You won’t be sorry.

The Yugo 56/66 model is ok and right now Cabelas has a bunch on sale for $199.00, but I have never been a fan of them. Now if you can score a Yugo 59, they are sweet shooters but may cost you a little more. The Russian and Romanian I think are some of the nicest out there and I just put a Russian on layaway for $319, which is a decent price, but not great. I bought it to replace my other Russian that has a mismatched mag/floorplate.

Typical russians in the midwest are going in the $400 range with Romainians in the high 3′s.

Check the equipment exchange often for deals as Christmas is coming and people will start unloading some stuff.

I had a hell of a time with mine, until I got all of the gunk out of the gas system.

After that, NOTHING stops it. It’s also reasonably accurate, for what it is. I’m perfectly happy with it.

While I’d love to buy more at prices from several years back, $250-300 is still a pretty good deal for what you’re getting. A reliable, 10 round, semi-auto rifle that is built like a tank.

No but I would love to have one.

I placed an order for an Aimpoint T-1 micro red dot sight with a medium “HK” Scope Mount for my ACR on Sunday. I looked around before ordering and saw that they had the sight AND their kickass Scope Mount for about the same price that other companies sell the sight alone for (with the factory extremely low mount). Not to mention they are big supporters of AR15.com. Shipping was only $5 extra. My order goes out the next day and arrives this morning. I open the box and am greeted with my first Dillo bottle opener, some Dillo Dust seasoning/dry rub, a pretty nice LaRue Tactical hat, some bumper stickers, and of course my coveted sight and Scope Mount AND tools (mini allen wrench screwdriver, wrench to tighten the mount, and locktite).

Thanks Call Brady at SWFA.com, it is a good place to start as they will price match and or beat the best deal you can find. Bottom line is you should NOT pay over $1000 from a dealer for a NEW TA31RCO-M4. Mine was $992 delivered and was the latest version with external adjusters like originaly used on the RCO-M150 . Be sure to ask where ever you get one to be sure ti is the latest build with external adjusters. This. Just ordered a TA31F, and the price was right. With the price match, it was several hundred less than the SWFA website listed. Groats5/10/2011 6:30:40 PM HunterKiller86: I just bought an Trijicon ACOG at a VERY good price so I will pass along the goof info. Most sites will place the 3.5x ACOGs at around $1260. But botach tactical lists them for $1049. I havnt heard good things from that vendor and have tried to figure out why they sell the scope at such a low price. Well I went to SWFA and saw they have a 110% price guarantee. I submitted the price match request, and sure enough they matched it. I got the TA11E for around $250 off what SWFA lists them for! I can bet the money I saved its the best price for a brand new Trijicon ACOG from a reputable vendor. That’s interesting, I tried to do the pricematch for a TA-33H and got the reply that Botach is not authorized by Trijicon to sell their products. This was just several days ago. TheMercenary5/15/2011 2:31:44 PM I just submitted my price match form for a TA01 I found it at Cals Sporting Armory for $778 IIRC, I will call Brady Monday and let you know how it goes.

I have one and it’s great, it’s made by Vtac and honestly it’s cheaper if you get it at Bravo Co.
I love LaRue Tactical but I ordered my second one from Bravo Co because it was about $25 cheaper so now I have two, one for my personal gun and one for work

I just saw something like this posted a while back ago. It was for a AA version but the fix might be the same for the N batteries.

Supposedly you need to let the EOTech capacitors drain all the way by leaving the batteries out for about 10 minutes. After doing this it should work after putting in the new batteries, assuming the new batteries are good.

During that time, the round charging handle has served me well-right up to my first tactical shotgun training course a few weeks ago. During the course I did a lot of off-hand charging and round switching. I found myself wishing the handle was a bit bigger, which would have made grabbing it with my support hand easier. There are a few larger versions available, so I think I’m going to buy them all to see what works best. BlindFaith429 7/1/2010 10:53:29 AM CJan_NH, I was looking at that one you have because it would be going on a Montefeltro that only gets used for clays. I was looking at the others (GG&G etc) but found them too large for what I wanted. The Montefeltro isn’t exactly a tactical shoty. I was looking for something a bit easier to grab when I needed to, but not something that was too large and too “tactical” for my gun. I also like the fact that it’s a Benelli Accessoriespart, I am kinda anal about being brand specific and keeping the same brand parts on my guns. Thanks allot CJan_NH 7/1/2010 11:06:28 AM No problem brother Oh, and reference the issue of the tubing losing it’s holding properties: Per the advice of a LEO friend I inserted a piece of solid copper wire into the tube to help it retain it’s shape while compressed. I was able to sneak away at lunch today and hit the local range with my new Mesa gear. In a word…flawless I’m completely stoked with this purchase, and I’m greatly looking forward to my next tactical shotgun training class because of it. These new parts solved the two issues I had with the previous class-no extra load carriage on the gun, and a substandard taclight mount. Based on how well this gear performed today I’ve decided to add Mesa’s Benelli Accessoriescompatible buttstock shell carrier as well.

4/13/2011 7:25:18 PM I’m currently doing a complete USGI rebuild of a Polytech through Tim at Warbird’s. I sold all my Polytech parts, and should come in at about $1900 for the basic rifle when all is said and done. Next comes mags, scope, mount, rings, ammo, tools, etc. This is an expensive platform!

A friend of mine got his last week. It seemed well made. I have not shot the conversion yet, but it shouldered well and felt very solid.

Spec-Ops Troops Study to be Part-Spy, Part-Gumshoe

I have never had that problem with my Mossberg 500 Accessories 500 Persuader. You may have a weak or broken extractor or extractor spring.
steveinct 9/5/2007 7:30:54 PM EST
Sounds like a rough chamber and/or cheap shells with steel heads that swell and stick to the chamber walls causing stiff extraction

The most recent vintage tactical shotguns by Mossberg 500 Accessories and Remington are finished extremely poorly and I’m surprised they even let them out of the factory the way they do today in many cases.

Just some more info on the gun:

Its new, been fired on 2 occasions, probably 20 to 40 rounds total before today. The problems started soon after the first rounds went down range.

i have never seen one fail like that honestly.

i know they are prone to haveing ejectors break but i have seldom seen a pump tactical shotgun fail to extract.

have you pulled the bolt and check the extractor?
03rangerxlt 9/6/2007 6:54:18 AM EST
No, but that mya happen today if she starts acting up again. She is also shooting very inaccurate. Very low and to the left. Gonna put her on a bench today to see if we can dial her in at 25 yards.
03rangerxlt 9/6/2007 5:28:54 PM EST
Aight! For those that care:
tactical shotgun was functioning more reliably today. I believe the failures to extract where cause by one particular type of round (Fiocchi Target loads). It only happened once today. Fed lots of Remington Law enforcement 00 and Slugs, and Winchester Ranger Slug through it today without problem. Also got her dialed in on the bench properly and she was printing nice groups (sometimes one hole). Overall pretty happy with the thing.

sounds like you found it.

i had some problems with some S&B bucksot a few years ago. it had a thin rounded rim and the extractor slipped off pretty easily. that crap would run in anything i had.
03rangerxlt 9/6/2007 8:37:24 PM EST
Oh yeah, while its fresh in my mind, I would like ot explain why I am a dumbass…

Why? I had two other malfunctions I haven’t mentioned here. They were my fault. I purchased cheap accesories for my tactical shotgun manufactured by TacStar. The heatshield didn’t fit right and scarred up my barrel’s finishing pretty bad. I kept it on after modifying it to fit to cover the scratches. Well, it was clanginging because it wasn’t fitting right and I ended up taking it off. Wish I had a properly fitting heat shield a couple times today when that barrel got hot.

So we decided to take one apart my problem is besides placeing a wtb add where else can we get a Complete EOTech that does not work hopefully a millitary model since those are the ones we here about the most but at this point any will do. And if possible where can i get a Aimpoint without the mount same description as the EOTech. Thats news to me. Other than a bad batch of terminals and people using cheap shitty batteries that is, Ive had 4 none of them gave me issues.
